RP Points Updated!

A few of us were lucky enough to witness some excellent live RP in Westbridge yesterday that went on for quite some time. I missed the beginning but came in as Tawny later on and sat quietly watching. Good stuff!

And even though both Tawny and Lorna are die-hard Tripower to the very end, Relic's cult looks damn interesting.

Keep it up, people!

About Roleplay Points

Everyone enjoys good roleplay; be it participating in, writing a role not or an entry in a blog or reading the words of another. While not mandatory, Waterdeep has always encouraged roleplay and we believe that those who take the time and effort to put some thought into their roleplay deserve to be rewarded for it.

Roleplay on Waterdeep comes in many shapes and sizes. One can choose to become a part of a well-developed ongoing 'official' campaign, choose to follow the path or ethos of their preferred FR deity or choose to go a completely different route and make their own roleplay.

Roleplay points on Waterdeep are awarded for all themes of roleplay as well as all venues. Points have in the past been given out (rpbonus) for role notes, this already existing system will not go away, we choose to expand on it.

Any form of written roleplay is eligible for points. This includes blogs, livejournals, personal websites and the role note board. If you have none of the above and don't like writing on the role note board, you can submit written roleplay by email and it will be published on the official Waterdeep blog. Any and all forms of written roleplay.

Roleplay points may be awarded by any Immortal and can be tracked off the Roleplay Points Awarded link on my blog and the WD blog.

Roleplay points are meant to be something like quest points. They're relatively slow to accumulate and can be exchanged for prizes.

Roleplay points are awarded either individually or to a group (such as a clan blog) and range from 1-5 points for individual and 5-10 points for a group.

Spelling and grammar will not count against roleplay points, we understand not everyone speaks English well. Terms such as 'u,' 'omg' or other non-roleplay net abbreviations will count against roleplay points.

Group blogs or note series members will be awarded as a group, no individual may do all the writing and the group receive the roleplay points.

Blog or journal design will not count for roleplay points, there are no differentiations between a journal or a note. It's purely about content and on-going roleplay.

Roleplay points will not be awarded for every note posted or blog entry made. You can't complete every quest, roleplay points are similar. Those who show an on-going effort through consistent writing will find themselves receiving points, it's not about getting a few quick points for a prize.

Roleplay point prizes for individuals begin at 100 points, for groups 250. We are putting together a list of prizes that will be posted but for the moment, some examples might be:

A who string
A bracket
A phouse
A special custom roleplay object
An item created and set into the world with your name
An Airship
Airship accessories
Property for your cult/faction
Clan hall enhancements

We as Immortals try to be fair and impartial in the awarding of roleplay points but we are only human. If you see a piece of writing that strikes you as particularly good that we have overlooked, please mention it to whichever Immortal you prefer.

It's something new and new things always need fine tuning, we hope you will work with us as we put this in motion and we look forward to reading your words.
