I was gently poked by a member of the Elf Crew this morning, reminded of all the links on the Index Blog that as of yet have no content in them.
After promptly kicking said Elf in a sensitive place, I noted his point.
Starting at the top and working my way down, the two links directly under the "Get Your Own Blog" button, located in the "About BlogsOfRoleplay.com" have had content added to them making that one little section complete.
The first link takes you to the alphabetical index list of all the blogs on the site.
The second link gives a detailed story of the three years of planning and agonising that went into the creation of this site. It's lengthy but history of how something came to be is a nice thing to have.
The third link is basically a less wordy explanation of what the site is all about, the motivation behind the creation of the site and a few possible uses for blogs.
For 95% of you, these links won't really do anything for you as you are already a part of the community and blogging your happy little heart out. However, newcomers and people wandering by the site might find them interesting. In any case, they're there if anyone should feel inspired to read.
Next I'll be moving into the general and technical links off the page and as always I welcome your input. I've learned only through users certain issues that arise with AOL and posting entries, if you have any tips, hints or shortcuts you think could benefit the new blogger, please email me and I'll be sure to use them and grant you credit for taking the time to help out.
I have also re-activated the WebKittyn link so the templates will no longer link back to a dead blog.
The wheels of progress continue to turn.

Strega, Kicker of Elf Crew Members
Come on, you know you all love a good quickie here and there!
In keeping with the current blast of progress in the past week, the Elf Crew and I wanted to bring to you the following:
To change the word "comments" on your blog to whatever you want is actually pretty easy. Go into the templates and click into the main index. Beneath the .blogbody section you will see the following:
[div class="posted"] In there is the word "comments." All you have to do is put whatever you want over the "comments" and it will read it. I changed it to "feedback" here and it worked fine. Nice added touch for RP.
Next, I got busy today and there are ten new templates to be used in the Template
Gallery. As always, they are not works of art but they are functional and colourful. I've gotten some nice feedback on the layout of the Grimoire so I made a few templates in the same format with colours. They remain free of charge or catch and if you need any assistance installing one, please ask.
So that's all for now, enjoy the templates and the automated updating and all the good bloggy juju going around.

Rejoice with us! Dance the happy dance with us!
Woo!
It's amazing what a shower can do for a resident muse, I tell ya.
We are happy, thrilled, ecstatic to announce that it is done! The Recently Updated Blogs list is now fully automated and purrrrrring like a spoiled house-cat!
It will take until your next post to start tracking accurately, I had to manually add every blog to the list, but as of your next post you should find yourself at the top of the list, we encourage you to give it a try.
And a tremendous round of kudos to BlogRoll for making something that works, works well and works quickly.
It is a happy night, the Elf Crew and I will now be heading to the tavern for a night of dancing, debauchery, wine and whoopie.

Afterthought - The "I'm Feeling Lucky" link at the top of the list that doesn't move is a random pull. You will be taken to any blog listed with Blogrolling.com. Give it a shot, you never know!
Greetings, Bloggers.
Quick update on some quick changes that are going to be going into place ASAP. The Elf Crew and I will be sitting down after a quick shower and not moving from this table until this is all done, once and for all.
First: We have upgraded to the latest version of Movable Type, version 2.661. Please take a moment to look over their website to see exactly what was added with the latest version.
Once you post an entry, your blog will upgrade to current version and it will say "powered by Movable Type 2.661. You will not see the upgrade until an entry has been posted.
Second: The Recently Updated List. Many thanks to Zarika for showing one way of making the list that I would highly recommend for any community leader blog but I warn you the customisation is complex. The more brainy of the Elf Crew and I sat all last night trying to tweak the look and figure out if there was a way to trim the list without having to list every blog in the site.
Today, I stumbled across exactly what I was looking for and for a mere $20.00 I can make it look how I want it to look, work how I want it to work and offer more than one list for interested community blog leaders.
This is what we'll be working on throughout the wee hours of the evening. Those of you who actually work with your blog configuration will notice a new URL has been placed into the "Publicity / Remote Interfaces / TrackBack" section of your Weblog Configuration: http://rpc.blogrolling.com/pinger/.
Please, for the love of God and Goddess, do not delete that link. Thank you.
Nothing is required of you to make this work, the next time you make a post it will automatically move you to the top of the list, there are no test posts required.
As of right now, I have only just discovered this wonderful setup and have yet to make the purchase, this is for after the shower. All I know at this point is tonight, before this obsessed resident muse crawls into her bed with Claude the Cat, there will be a tailored, functioning, automatic recently updated list.
