Ok, Taryn as a character is deaf but she can read lips. What does this mean for the casual roleplayer?
That in character, she cannot hear, but she will be able to understand what you're saying if you emote or pmote that you are looking at her and speaking.
Yes, this does force people to have to think out of the box and roleplay.
So because of the character being deaf, I take that towards my tells as well. I usually have my tells turned off... Today I just happened to have them on and here is what transpired:
Auyrn tells you 'will you creep zozo with me?'
Auyrn tells you 'you weaken mobs and stay in room and we group then i come in and hit em and you finish em off'
T's Note: As if I don't know what that means! I've been on this game for years. Hell I was here when Creeping Doom was first introduced to the game! So I know how it works and what it means.
You tell Auyrn 'sorry, I don't do that.'

Auyrn tells you 'why?'
T's Note: Since when do I need a reason?! I've helped quite a few people in my time, and I don't have a problem with helping people now, but one thing I DO NOT do is assist someone with creeping in ZoZo.
You tell Auyrn 'it's not something I do'
People like him are the reason I don't really leave my tells on anymore.
