Climbing

This 'house' thing is most intriguing and full of adventure. I have already spent much of my time climbing. It is much like a tree, but it is soft and dangles before these clear things where I can see outside but not get to anything and I keep smacking into it when I forget I cannot reach it. I climb these fabric things all the way to the top and then get stuck, calling out for one of the humans to come out and get me off. Of course, I go right back to climbing it again not five minutes later, because you can't let the fear control you.

I even made it to the top of what the humans' call a 'screen door' which was quite fascinating because you can SEE THROUGH it and still climb it! The humans threw a fit about it though and I got wet even though there isn't a cloud in the sky in this house thing. I wonder where that water comes from. I don't like it!

Intruder!

There is an intruder in the house. This little white and grey monstrosity that struts about the house as if she owns the place. Jumping about like a lemur after every dangling bit of string. She even chases those fake mouse shaped toys that I disdain to even sniff at. She has no dignity whatsoever.

AND, the beast has been making raids upstairs to use MY litterbox. Will the insanity never end!

From the Beginning

I was born in April in some year the humans count as 2006 (why they even bother doing this thing they call counting is beyond me). My mother broke through the plastic lattice work under some human's deck and had my littermate and I there. We were in the dark for several weeks. The humans didn't even know we were there until mother got careless and they heard us mewing.

We finally left the underside of the deck and ventured out into the yard. Terrorized the local fauna and followed mother about. This place is full of birds and bugs to stalk, no luck catching any though.

I noticed the humans staring at me a lot, but I kept my distance, as mother taught us both.

We had been taking shelter in the engine block of this big white truck in the human's yard, my litter mate and I. Mostly to keep in out of these freaky lightning storms. While I was out following mother about, my littermate ended up going for a ride on the truck (unknown by the human driving) to this place with a big lake. The human says she saw it escape into a parking lot, so I don't see my littermate anymore. Can you believe a human anyway? I don't know yet.

Mother started to get more and more cranky. These other cats started coming about and following her around, jumping on her and making a big ruckus. It was all too much for my little eyes, so I stayed away from them. Finally, she started getting hissy with me and wouldn't let me get anywhere near her. Luckily I was sick of drinking milk anyway, the hoppy things outside taste good. I was all alone, except for the strange humans always staring at me.

I was awefully lonely since mother ran off, and it was hard to find food. For some strange reason these plates of food started appearing near the back door where the humans lived. This male human started sitting nearby when the food would appear. I was kinda afraid of him, but I was so hungry I would just try to sneak past him to get to the food. He didn't try to touch me, which was a good thing cause I was kinda suspicious that the human's touch might be scaley or something.

The human kept sitting there just watching me everytime the food would appear. Then a few days later he started just putting his hand int he food tray and leaving it there... still not trying to touch me. This I thought was kinda weird, but not knowing how human's eat, I figured he was hungry, and there seemed plenty.

I accidentally brushed the human a few times and decided they weren't as bad as I thought. I pretty much ignored him when he pet me a few times. I did get scared every time he would stand up though, they really hurt your neck when they touch the sky like that.

The female humans came home and watched me all the time... doing this laughing stuff everytime I would chase my tail around or fighting with the bamboo shrubs. I would hear them chattering and nattering away, but they don't none of them make any sense so ignore them.

The older female would come out early every morning and late at night and spend time with me. I started to fall asleep on her lap a few times, just because she wears these cushy clothes that are made to sleep on as everyone knows.

The humans brought me inside the place where they live. Now I can't go outside anymore. It isn't so bad, I don't have the scratchy bugs anymore because they took me in this loud carriage thing to another house where someone gave me strange tasting stuff.

I do have to share the house with this other cat the humans call Sierra. She keeps rushing at me and staring at me. I may have to claw her to get her to stop looking at me.
